After Lomu died last month, it emerged that because of his generosity and the financial toll of his illness there was no money left in his estate for his young sons Brayley and Dhyreille.

The Rugby Players Association has since set up the Jonah Lomu Legacy Trust to provide for them.

In a statement released today, Nadene Lomu said she and her sons were very grateful for the people who had been touched through her husband's life and had wanted to give so generously to help support them.
