People in Blenheim are waiting to hear whether their local ACC branch will be closed.
The Accident Compensation Corporation is expected to release its decision early next week on a proposal to close the office in the Marlborough town, along with one in Thames.
A physiotherapist in Blenheim, John Chamberlain, says the prospect of replacing the office with a drop-box for forms, and a once-a-week visit from an ACC representative, is far from ideal.
He says some people will not mind accessing ACC services over the internet or telephone but those with more complicated cases will suffer.
