A New Zealand woman has reportedly died in Turkey after falling from the terrace of a hotel during a party in Istanbul.
The 31-year old was killed when a section of grating, connecting the hotel with an adjacent building, gave way during a salsa dance party.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade has formally named the woman as Keshia Handa.
A spokesperson for the Grand Hotel de Londres in Istanbul said they were deeply saddened by her death, which they said was a tragic accident.
An investigation is underway, and the New Zealand Embassy in Ankara is providing consular support to Ms Handa's family.
