A New Zealand rower attempting to cross the Tasman Sea is heading into a tropical cyclone forecast for Friday.
Shaun Quincey says a storm is starting to build and it will send him back towards Australia. He says that's demoralising and frustrating.
He has already encountered several problems, including bad weather and a break-down of his desalination unit.
Quincey told Morning Report he expects to land somewhere between New Plymouth and Manukau harbour in about 13 days.
