Police are concerned for the safety of missing Upper Hutt man John Gerraty.
The 55-year-old, who suffers from several medical conditions, did not return home after going for a walk in the suburb of Clouston Park at 4pm on Thursday.
He is described as a European, of thin build, who is about 180cm tall with grey/brown hair, who is balding on top.
Police say Mr Gerraty walks with a severe limp, is blind in one eye and suffers from epilepsy.
They say he may be disorientated due to his medical condition.
Friends of Mr Gerraty say they are concerned for his safety because he suffers from epilepsy and does not have his medication with him.
