A neighbour of murdered Auckland woman Susan Burdett says she saw serial rapist Malcolm Rewa parked in the driveway the night of the murder.

Ms Burdett was raped and killed in her south Auckland home in 1992.
Auckland man Teina Pora spent more than 20 years in prison for the crimes before his conviction was quashed by the Privy Council in March.
Malcolm Rewa was convicted of Ms Burdett's rape but a jury was unable to decide if he was also guilty of her murder.
However, a woman who lived three doors down from Ms Burdett told the current affairs programme 3D that she saw Rewa parked in his truck, alone, on the night of the murder.
Until now, there have been no eyewitnesses in the case.
The woman said she told Rewa's family and the police but said that information was never recorded.
The private investigator who fought to have Teina Pora's name cleared, Tim McKinnel, said the new information was a vital piece of evidence.
Police said they have not been provided with the contents of the programme prior to broadcast, therefore were unable to comment tonight on any specific matters aired in tonight's programme.
They said they have previously twice charged Malcolm Rewa with the murder of Susan Burdett.
The Solicitor-General stayed further prosecution of Mr Rewa at the conclusion of his second trial in 1998, and it would require exceptional circumstances for the Solicitor-General to consider lifting that stay.
