A man is facing charges after Christchurch police conducted an operation in response to a large increase in commercial burglaries.
Detective Senior Sergeant Scott Anderson said during the past month there had been a spike in the number of night-time burglaries of commercial and retail premises.
The arrested man faces charges for a significant number of burglaries and has been remanded in custody.
He will appear in court later this month .
