Police in Hastings have arrested a woman in relation to the death of a man in the suburb of Flaxmere.
A man was reported lying unconscious outside a house on Tuesday. He was pronounced dead when ambulance personnel arrived.
Detective Senior Sergeant Dave De Lange says the man was visiting Flaxmere and his death is not believed to be gang related.
The woman, 22, has been charged with assault and is to appear in Hastings District Court on Wednesday.
