A man facing charges relating to a movie pirating operation will now also face charges of possessing objectionable material.
The man, 28, was originally faced four charges of selling pirated DVD's on a Mandarin language web site.
Computer hard drives were seized by police in a joint operation with the New Zealand Federation Against Copyright Theft.
Police say forensic analysis resulted in 27 new charges relating to pornographic movies in the accused's possession.
Police say a website believed to be linked to the man has been identified as listing objectionable movies for sale.
He will appear in the Hamilton District Court on Thursday.
