Yun Qing Liu is accused of murdering his partner, Cissy Chen, who went missing in late 2012.

Her badly decomposed body was found more than a year later in stream in a reserve in Totaravale, 10 kilometres from their home.

Mr Liu reported her missing to the police, but the Crown says he killed her that same night.

Today the High Court in Auckland viewed CCTV footage of what the Crown says is Mr Liu's car driving through the neighbourhood that night.

The trial is set to last another five weeks.
