A 54-year-old man who admitted being involved in an advertising scam in February has been jailed for four years.
Anthony John Hendon pleaded guilty to 24 charges of reproducing documents with the intent to cause a loss.
The case was brought by the Serious Fraud Office and several other state agencies, which alleged Hendon obtained more than $750,000 dishonestly between February 2010 and October 2012.
Investigators said he promised prospective advertisers he would print and distribute their advertisements, using advertisements from genuine publications as examples of his work.
He then grossly misrepresented the number of magazines to be printed and failed to circulate them as promised.
Two others involved in the scam - Noelene Kay Banton and Johannes Hendrik Maria Middeldorp - were found guilty yesterday, and await sentencing; two others have already been sentenced.
