Police say new evidence has prompted them to issue an arrest warrant for a man who's travelling with a Tauranga school girl.
Julie Davis, 14, went missing 11 days ago, after meeting Craig Howard, 41, in March.
Police issued the warrant on Monday, stating that the man had abducted her.
On Sunday, police said the teenager did not want to be found.
Detective Constable Pete Sweeney says he believes the pair know the police want to talk to them.
He says he can't reveal why officers issued the warrant for abduction, but the girl has not run away before.
