A man who killed his first wife and was recalled to prison because he was a potential threat to his new wife has again been denied parole.

Former Air Force sergeant Warwick Bennett killed Yvonne Bennett in 1982 and buried her in a shallow grave.

He was convicted in 1994 and served 10 years of his sentence.

In April 2011, Bennett was recalled to jail when it became clear his second wife's life was in danger.

In the latest decision, the Parole Board said Bennett has successfully completed four - day parole releases, and outlined re-integration steps needed before his release could be considered again.
