Guy Fawkes callouts 'minor'

6:31 am on 6 November 2014

Guy Fawkes night was relatively quiet for fire crews who attended about 60 incidents thoughout the country.

Fire Service northern communications centre shift manager Dallas Ramsey said about half those calls were in the Auckland region.

All were relatively minor, such as the odd tree or pile of rubbish on fire.

Ms Ramsey says they are preparing for a potentially busy weekend because people often save fireworks until then.
