They have created a booklet as part of a campaign they are launching today to get Anglicans to reflect, pray, and take action on child poverty.

Archbishop Philip Richardson said there was a risk pre-election rhetoric on child poverty will get lost.

But he said the issue can not be forgotten.

"When we've got one in five of our kids who don't have enough to eat, who are living in inadequate housing, who don't have the preconditions to that full and happy life, as a society, as a community, we need to be keeping that as a number one focus."
