The Sunday Times reported that some of the new allegations also related to abuse in Australia and Britain but the Metropolitan Police taskforce, Operation Yewtree, was only looking at the British cases.

Allegations in New Zealand and Australia will be up to local police to investigate.

The 84-year-old was jailed in June for five years and nine months for 12 indecent assaults on four girls between 1969 and 1986.

Some of the new claims were reportedly made during the course of the trial.
