A man has been arrested in connection with threats made to staff at the Work and Income office in Hamilton East overnight.
Police say the 42-year-old was arrested when armed officers went to a property in Firth Street this afternoon and is being interviewed.
Inspector Marcus Lynam, of Waikato, says all threats are being treated seriously.
