A woman has admitted murdering an elderly man and arson charges when she appeared at the High Court in Auckland on Wednesday.
The body of Peter Dixon, 77, was found inside his Manurewa home as it burned in February last year.
The 47-year-old woman, who has name suppression, also pleaded guilty to theft charges totalling $12,500.
Her lawyer John Corby said he had commissioned a report from a medical professional.
The woman will be sentenced in September.
