Arun Kumar, 57, died in his Henderson dairy after being attacked on June the 10th. The police said he appeared to have stab wounds to his neck.

Two boys, aged 12 and 13, were charged in relation to the killing.

The 12-year-old charged with manslaughter and assault with intent to rob appeared at the High Court in Auckland on Wednesday, with members of his family looking on from the public gallery.

Justice Lang said he would record pleas of not guilty and continue name suppression.

The 13-year-old has denied a charge of murder and assault with intent to rob.

Both defendants are in the care of Child, Youth and Family and are due back in court in August for a preliminary hearing.
