Serial stalker in custody

One of the country's worst serial stalkers Glenn Green is back in custody after being charged with breaching his release conditions.

Despite concerns about his risk of reoffending, Green was released from jail only two weeks ago because his formal sentence was coming to an end.

Green is due to appear in court in August.

He has more than 200 convictions for breaching protection orders, harassment and intimidation.

The Parole Board says he was on release conditions at the end of his sentence.

On top of a curfew, electronic monitoring, a ban on internet access and limits to where he can travel, he was also ordered to stay out of Ngaruawahia and Hamilton.

The board said that is because he became obsessed with a woman who works as a health professional while in prison.

Green knew where she worked and had planned to visit her.
