Police have have named the man whose body was found in Wellington Harbour on Monday.
He was 57-year old Graham Hutcheon from Upper Hutt.
His body was pulled from the sea near Pencarrow at the harbour entrance by the police launch.
Detective Senior Sergeant Mike Sears said police are continuing to work with the Interislander to establish whether Mr Hutcheon was a ferry passenger on 8pm crossing from Wellington to Picton on Sunday night.
Mr Hutcheon's car was found a short distance from the ferry terminal.
