Auckland mayor Len Brown has had a pay rise that takes his salary to $259,500.

The increase is part of annual determinations by the Remuneration Authority, which has increased salaries for Auckland Council politicians by 3.4 percent.
Ordinary councillors are now in the six-figure bracket on almost $102,000.
