Three senior police officers in Christchurch have dropped a defamation case against the Police Commissioner.

Peter Marshall issued a media statement commenting on the culture at the Christchurch South police station after a former officer there, Gordon Meyer, was sentenced in late 2013 on corruption and indecent assault charges.
The officers were part of the management team at the time of Meyer's offending and their lawyer, Grant Cameron, says they felt the comments were defamatory.
In December last year, Mr Cameron said Mr Marshall tried to use the station as a scapegoat by letting people believe there were leadership problems when an inquiry had already established that was not the case.
He said his clients' relationships with local government, MPs and community leaders had been damaged by the false comments.
On Wednesday, Mr Cameron said an out-of-court settlement has been reached, but the details are confidential, including whether Mr Marshall has apologised.
"The matter has been brought to a head very quickly in the new year and my clients are very happy with the outcome."
Police would not comment, other than to say all issues are now satisfactorily resolved.
