The captain of a Sea Shepherd ship which was in a collision with a Japanese whaling ship says the New Zealand Government remains completely inactive over the incident.

The Bob Barker continues to shadow Japanese whaling ships in the Southern Ocean, despite a collision with a Japanese factory ship on Sunday.

Captain Peter Hammarstedt says his ship is holding up well since the collision.

He says the New Zealand Government has failed to act since the incident, which happened in New Zealand territorial waters.
