Two people have appeared in court charged with drugs offences after the Customs Service says it found almost $8 million worth of methamphetamine at Auckland Airport.
Customs says an American man was arrested on Friday, after 4kg of the drug was found in his laptop bag.
In a separate incident, a Mexican woman was arrested on Saturday morning after 3.8kg was found in her luggage.
Customs says it is a significant amount of drugs and has a street value of $7.8 million.
