A police dive squad has been called in to help search for a kayaker missing near Turihuaua Point, north of Gisborne since Monday.
The 25-year-old man from Gisborne fell from his kayak about 4pm.
A woman with him was rescued, but the man has not been found despite a search involving four boats and an aircraft, surf lifesavers on inflatable rescue boats and people checking the shoreline.
