Three properties in Blenheim have been searched in connection with the disappearance of a Nelson teenager four years ago.

Leo Lipp-Neighbours, 19, was last seen in Nelson in January 2010 and police believe he fell victim to foul play.

Computer equipment and other electronic items were seized from one of three rental properties that officers searched in Marlborough last week.

Police in Nelson did not initially think Mr Lipp-Neighbours' disappearance was suspicious, but the inquiry changed after a case review in September last year.

Spokesperson Barbara Dunn said there was no breakthrough as a result of the searches and police are continuing to ask anyone with information as to his disappearance to come forward.
