CTV engineering firm changes name

The engineering company that designed the CTV building, which collapsed killing 115 people in Christchurch's 2011 earthquake, has had a name change.

Reay Consulting Group, named after Alan Reay who headed the company at the time, has become Engenium. The company's website says the business is an exciting new entity.

Dr Reay has stood down as a director but remains on staff. The firm also retains four of its original directors, including Mr Reay's wife, and is continuing to operate out of the same office.

Dr Reay is challenging the right of the Institution of Professional Engineers to investigate him over the collapse of the CTV building.
