The Dean of Christchurch's so-called cardboard cathedral is preparing for its first 'Christmas with a Carol' recitals.
Christmas Day services will take place at 8am, 10am and again at 5pm.

Dean Lynda Patterson says the services are spread out to accommodate local and visiting worshippers.
She says it has been a tough year in Christchurch but she is looking forward to welcoming people to the cathedral's first Christmas service.
Ms Patterson says Bishop Victoria Matthews will preside over two of Christmas Day's services.

Meanwhile, the group fighting to save the Christ Church Cathedral says there may yet be another Christmas celebrated in the city's iconic building.
The Great Christchurch Buildings Trust has been denied the right to appeal to the Supreme Court in its bid to stop the building being demolished.
But co-chair of the trust, Jim Anderton, says the chances of the cathedral being demolished remain slim due to further legal action against other aspects of the church's decision to bring the building down.
He says the longer the cathedral stays up, the stronger public support for restoring it becomes.
Mr Anderton says the new city council is far more supportive of restoring the cathedral than the previous council.
