A man has been arrested on firearms charges after in an incident in which police say a gun was presented in public in South Auckland.
The 58-year-old was arrested after the incident in Clevedon on Wednesday morning. He will appear in the Papakura District Court on Thursday on two charges of unlawfully possessing a firearm.
Police said after the man was arrested, a loaded firearm was seized from his vehicle and another in his house, as well as ammunition.
