Everyone on a helicopter that crashed in freezing temperatures in Antarctica has survived the ordeal.
It was earlier feared a New Zealander was one of those on board, but the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade now says all three are Australians.
The helicopter is a write-off after crashing on an ice-shelf on Sunday night 150 nautical miles from Davis Station on the south-east coast of the continent.
After surviving the crash in temperatures around minus 8 degrees Celsius, the trio had to shelter in survival tents.
Those on board another helicopter travelling with them were able to land and help.
Australian Antarctic Division director Tony Fleming says the injured trio were rescued at 1.30am on Tuesday.
Mr Fleming says the three Australians are still being assessed but they are lucky to be alive.
