A Rotorua teenager has serious head injuries after being hit by a bus on Saturday morning.
The 16-year-old boy was a hit near Manuka Crescent in Rotorua at about 11.30am.
The bus was carrying tourists at the time.
The teen remains in Rotorua Hospital. No-one else was injured.
