A house in Lower Hutt remains cordoned off after a woman was found with a stab wound.
Police say the 48-year old was found in her Knights Road home by her husband about 4pm on Tuesday.
She is now in a stable condition in Hutt Hospital and police hope to interview her on Wednesday.
Police are asking anyone who saw anything suspicious in the neighbourhood to come forward.
