A review of the conduct of Auckland's mayor during a two-year extra-marital affair, will take weeks longer than initially thought.
The council's chief executive commissioned the review a month ago, to ensure no ratepayer money or resources were used by Mayor Len Brown during his relationship with Bevan Chuang.
The work by Ernst & Young was meant to be completed within four weeks, but the council now says it could take several more.
A spokesperson said there is no particular reason, other than the need for the job to be done thoroughly.
