Members of the public will on Sunday have a chance to travel along part of a road being built between Tauranga and eastern Bay of Plenty.
The $455 million Tauranga Eastern Link is expected to be open for traffic in 2016.
The Transport Agency says the road, which bypasses Te Puke on State Highway Two, will provide a safer route between Tauranga and Paengaroa.
A section of the new road will be subject to a toll.
Between 5000 - 6000 people are expected to attend the open day.
