Police are trying to ascertain where a knife used to kill a Wellington woman last week came from.

Mei Fan, 37, was found dead at her home in Miramar on Sunday. A post mortem on Tuesday confirmed she died of multiple injuries consistent with a violent and brutal attack.
Police on Saturday issued a picture of a weapon, found on the property. It is a 32cm knife with a wooden handle with the word 'carver' stamped into the base.
Police say the knife could have come from anywhere and are encouraging people to take a close look to see if they recognise it.
Members of Ms Fan's family will be arriving in New Zealand over the weekend.
