A fire that delayed rush hour traffic on Queen Street in central Auckland has been put out.

The Fire Service said the small fire started in a woodfire pizza oven and may have spread into the chimney at the Istanbul Pizza and Kebab store, but was put out quickly on Wednesday night.
Queen Street had been closed between Customs and Victoria streets, but has since reopened.
