A man who was stung up to 100 times by bees in Hawkes Bay has been discharged from hospital.
The 43-year-old had initially been in a critical condition after a queen bee flew down the back of his shirt in Putorino, causing the other bees to follow.
The man was helped by a passing truck driver before being airlifted to Hawke's Bay Regional Hospital.
