Police frustrated cyclist case unsolved

7:49 pm on 14 October 2013

Police say they're frustrated they haven't found a driver four years after that person is thought to have hit and killed a cyclist.

Monday marks the fourth anniversary of Graham Robinson coming off his bike north-west of Auckland.

The 62-year-old was possibly clipped by a ute in Helensville. Police say even if he wasn't hit, the vehicle was so close he had to take evasive action.

Dr Robinson died from head injuries the following day.

Police have not been able to find the vehicle or its driver despite a big investigation.

However, Detective Senior Sergeant Brett Batty says he is confident that someone in the Rodney area holds the information to solve the case.
