The commission made a draft recommendation for Chorus to cut charges on its copper network by up to $12 per connection. The Government is proposing a lower price cut of $7.50 and John Key argues Chorus could go broke under the commission's plan.
A group opposing the Government's intervention, the Coalition for Fair Internet Pricing, has produced letters from the NZX and ASX that show Chorus has not made any disclosures.
But Mr Key says Chorus will only have to do that if the Commission's copper pricing plan is implemented.
