Auckland Council says it will be at least a week before the fate of a cracked heritage building is decided.
The 128-year old Wong Doo building, on Hobson Street, is due to be restored and incorporated into a retail and apartment complex.
Construction at the site was halted last week after a crack at the back of a building was discovered.
A council spokeperson says engineers are assessing the situation but it will be at least a week before a decision is made.
