A public health warning advising people not to collect or eat shellfish in North Taranaki has been lifted.
Shellfish testing at Mohakatino, just south of Mokau, had shown the levels of Paralytic Shellfish Poisoning were above what is deemed to be safe.
The warning was issued three weeks ago for the area from Mohakatino to Motunui, north of New Plymouth.
