Waikato polilce say concern is growing for a Hamilton man last seen on Monday evening.
Searchers have been scouring bush and farm land near Hamilton since late on Tuesday.
Frederick Hayward, who is known as Rick, was last seen leaving his Hamilton East home in Thames Street about 5pm to head to Raglan.
His car was found on Old Mountain Road near Te Pahu, between Raglan and Hamilton on Tuesday night.
The 67-year-old is Pakeha, of slim build, about 1.52 metres tall and has short grey hair.
The police Eagle helicopter was used in the search on Wednesday.
