Auckland Grammar School, one of the two schools involved in last weekend's brawl at the end of a schoolboy rugby semifinal match, lost the final on Saturday afternoon to Mt Albert Grammar by a score of 43 to 11.
About 50 people took part in the fight at the end of the game last week between Auckland Grammar and Kelston Boys High School.
Following a hearing this week, an Auckland Rugby Union disciplinary committee suspended four players from Auckland Grammar's first 15 for up to six weeks. Those players missed Saturday's final.
There was only minor shoving on the field at Saturday's game, but several Mt Albert Grammar students in the stands had to be removed by security from the area where Auckland Grammar pupils were.
Some were also seen throwing things toward Auckland Grammar students.
Five players from Kelston Boys High School were also banned after last weekend's game for periods ranging between 10 months and 16 months. A decision is being made this weekend on whether to appeal against those suspensions.
