Engineers are inspecting an Air New Zealand plane after a crack was discovered in one of the cockpit windscreens during a domestic flight.
Pilots on a flight from Auckland to Wellington on Monday noticed a crack in the outer pane of glass of the captain's cockpit window and decided to return to Auckland as a precaution.
A spokesperson for Air New Zealand says the plane landed without incident and passengers were put on alternative aircraft.
The plane is expected to return to service on Monday.
