Pharmac asks questions about funding priorities

1:35 pm on 23 June 2013

The Government's drug-buying agency Pharmac is asking for public feedback on its policies for funding different medicines.

Pharmac wants to know whether changes should be made to its criteria, and where its funding priorities should lie.

For example it asks whether it should consider treatments to extend the life of the elderly more important than medicines which improve the quality of life for a young person.

Submissions will close at the end of August.
