A 41-year-old woman has been charged over a fatal car crash in Waikato in February.
Shayna Kumitau, 17, died in the crash on State Highway 23 at Whatawhata, between Hamilton and Raglan, and three others were injured, one seriously.
The woman has been charged with excess blood alcohol causing death, aggravated careless driving causing death and six charges of causing injury.
She will appear in court in 24 July.
Police say the nature of the charges should serve as a deterrent to motorists contemplating drinking and driving over the Queen's Birthday holiday weekend.
