An eco-village has been set up in the heart of Nelson.
Braemar eco-village is built on the site of a former children's hospital, off Waimea Road. Chickens, sheep, goats and a cow are on the site.
Six families are involved and each shareholder has title to their own section of about 800 - 1000 square metres. Work on the common land and animals is shared.
The shareholders are now looking for two more families to join them.
