An Air New Zealand plane has been struck by lightning as arrived at Auckland airport.
No one was hurt during the incident which happened on Sunday morning.
The lightning bolt hit an area of a wing.
Air New Zealand says as standard procedure the aircraft was checked by engineers, and has gone back into service.
It says the aircraft is designed to cope with lightning strikes.
