Evidence for the defence has ended at a disciplinary hearing at Ohakea Air Force Base and Wing Commander Shaun Sexton has adjourned to consider his decision.
Flight Lieutenant Dan Pezaro is before the hearing, accused of failing to abort a flight to Wellington on Anzac Day 2010 when the weather deteriorated.
He was leading a three-helicopter formation, one of which crashed north of the capital, killing three Air Force personnel and seriously injuring another.
